I think he wants some sort of extreme vengeance so that Asylon by proxy can also suffer. Considering that even though Aurvandiil cheated in the eyes of most of Dwilight it is Asylon that is still considered the most evil and hated for just playing the game. 
I know you have a hard time believing it sometimes, Glaumring, but not everything is about you.
