Message Search Bug?

When using the message search function, I've been putting in parameters on the Messages page only to get 0 hits (when I know there should be results). If I try again on the new page, using the same parameters, it suddenly works.

From some basic testing, it seems like the Messages page search is more likely to succeed for intervals within 7 mornings. The other page works all the way back to 30.

My question: Am I just doing something wrong or is it being problematic for others  as well?

Sure:

Character: Maduin Eirikr on Atamara

Search for Sender: (all)
Search for Recipient: (blank, no mouseclick or deleted input)
Search for Text in Message: referendum
Between: 30 mornings ago and <blank>
Search: Received checked, Sent and Both unchecked.

First attempt: No results.
Second attempt: Full results.

Attempting to reproduce it has lead to an interesting discovery: I can reliably reproduce a return of no results by performing a successful search, hitting the back button and retrying the same parameters. (That is, just hitting "search" again.) If I hit the back button from a return of no results and retry the same parameters, it succeeds.

Upon even further inspection, it looks like hitting the back button from a successful search populates the "Between x and y" parameter to make y blank rather than "now". The back button from a no results search DOES populate it with "now".

I feel like I may have encountered no results on the first attempt, however, which would not be addressed by this discrepancy. If it happens again, I'll see if I can figure out what it was.
