Dante Silverfire

"This is the face of the man who has worked long and hard for the good of the people without caring much for any of them."

Penchant

"The true soldier fights not because he hates what is in front of him, but because he loves what is behind him."

I suppose Enoch and Jonsu have risen the ranks a bit. No one ever expects Lawful Evil!

He's infamous because he's an annoying and loud !@#$%^&.

He hasn't actually done anything noteworthy.

He rubbed people the wrong way. I honestly enjoyed that. Then again, I enjoy tricksters and irony. It's kind of funny, because he did inspire me to put more effort into my character. His work on the wiki was impressive, but most of his character plans were largely benign.

I suppose he did do one thing pretty noteworthy. He mentored and shaped Enoch, who was less benign.
Eoric the Dim (Perdan), Enoch the Bright (Asylon), Emeric the Dark (Obsidian Islands)

Orobos, The Insatiable Snake (Sandalak)

Daycryn

You're not exactly Lawful Evil if you break the laws.
Lokenth, Warrior of Arcaea, former Adventurer
Adamir, Lord of Luria Nova

Bronnen

A lawful evil villain methodically takes what he wants within the limits of his code of conduct without regard for whom it hurts. He cares about tradition, loyalty, and order but not about freedom, dignity, or life. He plays by the rules but without mercy or compassion. He is comfortable in a hierarchy and would like to rule, but is willing to serve. He condemns others not according to their actions but according to race, religion, homeland, or social rank. He is loath to break laws or promises.

Lawful evil doesn't mean obeying the laws, merely obeying your own set of laws.

GoldPanda

A lawful evil villain may have a personal (as opposed to traditional/legal) set of rules, but he would loath to change them later on, even for personal gain. He may make his own rules, but he sticks to them.

Another trait is that lawful evil villains consider promises and contracts to be binding, even without the threat of enforcement. You don't have to worry about him reneging on a deal.

Which is why I describe Jonsu as Neutral Evil.

Did I say that aloud? I meant Lawful Good.
Life is a dance, it is only fitting that death sing the tune.

Can anyone recall Enoch ever taking any 'vows' for the Regency? I meant to avoid realistic campaign promises and reciting any vow that would be counter to his plans, but I don't have those messages and don't remember if I got carried away blowing smoke.

The regency never had any formal vows or oaths. I've only known a couple realms to ever have an explicit oath that characters must swear.

Jonsu & Enoch just made the most infamous list.
Other than them, I can only think of a handful.
Bowie Ironsides
Allison Kabrinksi
Haruka Vanimedle (there was another character in this family that started an earlier rebellion in Niselur when I started playing but I don't remember the name)
Baal Beldragos
And did anyone mention Garret Artemesia yet?
MacGeil Family: Cathan (Corsanctum)
Formerly the O'Faolain, then Nisbet families

People in general don't, which is sad; I don't want oaths implemented in any binding game-mechanical way, that's for sure.  Though it's no use to complain about it if I'm doing nothing; I should work on getting some oath swearing done in Corsanctum when I have the time, but I've been working on personal RP lately instead.

Add Mendicant to the list!

Jonsu Himoura
Bowie Ironsides
Machiavel Chernier
Alice Arundel
[Any] Kabrinski
Mendicant
Rurik Clark (maybe that's just from a D'Haran POV...)
Fulco
"Behavior that's admired is the path to power among people everywhere"

Chenier

I never really figured Machiavel as being high-profile. Some lurians might dislike him because he is D'Haran, some D'Harans might have different goals than him, but overall, he tends to get along with people, unlike most of my other characters.
