distributing food through rogue regions

If memory serves, the food distribution used to physically trace paths, so if you cut an area off with rougue regions it could no longer be fed from outside

Is this still correct for the banker?

Assuming that the marketplace buying/selling is not affected?

TIA

Cutting a region off from other regions of its realm has, to the best of my knowledge, no current effect.

Buying and selling food happens through unicorn magic these days, and doesn't care about rogue regions between the source and destination.

so the banker also uses the marketplace to distribute, and just needs access to lords' granaries?

That's correct.

also you can just put your food on the market to avoid losing food from looting right?

For a little while longer, yes ;)

Soon, though, I will overhaul looting, and close this loophole.

It was a nice loophole  :'(

This gives me an idea to make Traders a little more interesting during wartime and separate from the Banker: Allow them to buy food from rogue regions, at a game-set (likely higher) price from rogue regions - like a Black Market revamp. An army could keep a few traders with them to turn a region rogue and steal food much faster than normal looting does. It would also encourage use of the rogue areas on some continents when food is scarce.

I'll reuse this existing thread since it is slightly related:

if you loot food, but do not have an estate, where does it go?

Making it so that one can't access warehouses of a region under TO or being looted would be logical.

Your realm's capital.
