No, that's not true. The monsters were controlled by a sophisticated neuro-implant system that self-destructed whenever a monster was killed so that the humans couldn't find it. The undead were animated by nanomachines that used the bone structures of the dead. The invasion was basically a proxy war for 3 alien species--the monster-controllers, the nanobot makers, and the daimons, who actually fought as themselves.

That's as may be.

But OOC, they were controlled by actual people.

They are totally separate from the regular rogue undead & monsters, and anything learned about the one cannot be reliably applied to the other.

No no, the daimons were a genetically altered soldier species equipped with magneto-plasma technology that allowed them to initiate combustion anywhere there was sufficient oxygen. The three members of the Light were holographic representatives of a sentient supernetwork like a greatly advanced form of the Internet, that could alter particle alignment and focus cosmic radiation to varying degrees onto the surface.

And the big twist is that all four came from the same source. The same sentient supernetwork entity created the nanobots to reanimate dead tissue, performed experiments on the monsters to control them, created daimons and gave them their weapons, and projected the three avatars. All this was one huge Xanatos Casino Resort City garnered towards testing whether living humans would be worthy as the next species to undergo "transcendence".

Huh, and I thought the Light was a hyperintelligent shade of white, like the Hooloovoo.
