Where do you guys take your character images from? Some of you have really nice ones. Is there some hidden internet cache of royalty free fantasy/medieval images?

I've actually taken screen shots of my characters in Guild Wars 2 and use them for my chars.  ;)

When I'm looking for RF imagery, I look for actual renaissance/barroque/medieval paintings. Or look up authors. Anything before 1900 shouldn't give you much trouble. But to be honest, BM is so small and niche that it's very low risk even if you put a Disney character in there.

Yeah, it's unfortunate really. I looked for a good 3 hours before giving up. Most warmaiden-messy-warrior-types have huge cleavages or skimpy skirts, too cliché... Then other vikings women don't have as big a variety of imagery... *sigh*

For actual knights and iron-clad warrior types there's plenty of awesome images, though.
