What about the resources?
Make the game more dynamic for priests and courtiers?

Introduce more resources, not only food:
-wood
-rocks
-gold
-silk
Make trade more alive.

Maybe regionalize regions of the maps, such regions are good producers os this, others of that, etc.

Just a thought.

EDIT:

What if we add the possibility for region lords to build bridges (add the possibility to cross a river), so that wood would be needed.

Rock for fortification upgrades and castles.

Food will also be required for tournaments.

Iron for regular weapons and armor, blacksmith and recruitment center.

Silver for special recruitment centers.

Mining gold/ add some special effect.

Regions that can Manufacture would also get something else.

Market would be crazy.

Regions Lords would be much more active.

A lot more options.

Zakky

They don't exist.

There are only 2 resources. Gold and Food.

A long time ago there was an additional resource in the form of "metal" if a region didn't have metal its smiths couldn't operate. I don't recall the specifics of this or if there was ever a way to trade metal. In those days food had to be carried around by caravan or manually transported by ox cart.

More trade goods has long been in the category of "yeah that would be nice if it wasn't too hard for the dev team to code" alongside adding a second dimension to battles.

Yes but it never did anything, it was part of a revamp that was never complete.
Previously of the De-Legro Family
Now of representation unknown.
