Riombara has a longstanding claim on Fwuvoghor.  Its owners (Voghor) were destroyed, and their remnant blessed our taking of it.  Then Enweil took it from us.  Then it seceded from Enweil. Then it was taken over by a pro-Enweil faction. Then it was taken over by an anti-Enweil faction. Then Enweil destroyed the Republic of Fwuvoghor and took it.  Then Enweil lost it, and Riombara took back what was rightfully ours.

Fronen has no such claims. They don't even have the right to use their name. Everything they do spits on the memory of the true Fronen.

It's more complex than that, Tim. The pro- and anti-Enweil factions rose and fell numerous times, and sometimes even switched around. RoF was one of the most convoluted places ever. Plus, Enweil wasn't the only political issue. Disputes over republican versus monarchist governance were also a major component, and the religious element was certainly not absent either.

I find the idea that anyone has any claim on Fwuvoghor rather laughable. Everyone in the southern half of Beluaterra practically can find some kind of claim to Fwuvoghor (at present the southern half is rather small, but even in past times that was the case).

And now... it's mine. It's poor, starving, underpopulated, and barely defended. But it's mine. Never been mine before. But now it is. I need to add one of the island cities to my collection next, I think.

I'm a prince of the Kingdom of Fwuvoghor. Since Riombara recognized Fwuvoghor's sovereignty, they de facto recognize my claim to it, and my right to swear it to the government of Enweil!

By recognizing RoF, Rio forfeited all claims to the city.

That's my story and I'm sticking to it.

If its not utterly indecipherable and self-contradictory, its not proper diplomacy!
[Solari] it's generally understood that OG survives by some compact with the devil

Please, who give a damn about lands.

I do. But Vore almost completely satisfied that need, almost. ;)

Especially as it had some kick-ass RCs of the kind that haven't been seen in Thalmarkin since... forever.

I just hope Iknopata joins us soon also.

I find it strange that we didn´t had a battle with two Fronen units coming to the region...

Not even a warning saying they evaded happened.
Stryfe Family: Tristan - Heorot/ Scherzer - Nothoi / Finan - Caelum / Arya - Farronite Republic

Solari

What happened to Nothoi?  I seem to recall this being their time to shine and to snatch Dyomoque.  Instead, they appear to be returning to their own lands?

With the time taken to every ally lower relations so we could declare war,  Fronen managed to upgrade Dyomoque militia up to 8k.

With our current strengh it would be dificult to take the region, so we sent a few units to take on other regions while we build up more power.

But don´t worry, Dyomoque will be ours soon.

You should also add the fact that we have to cross mountains to get where we want...

I recall us all saying the same thing in Bara'Khur in May 2009. It took the twilight of the Fourth Invasion to finally make it a reality. You've a tough job there.

Zakilevo

Ehh a secession? at times like this? What is going on in Enweil?

Draco Tanos

Looks like a case of "I lost the election!  The people don't want me leading them!  So I'm taking my ball and going home!"

I think Chenier forgets his family is hated probably more than Enweil itself is.

Zakilevo

really? I never had a chance to talk to Chenier so I don't know him well. But this secession really made this war interesting. A huge blow for Fronen.  :-\

Fleugs

Probably a bigger blow for Enweil, though. Seeing how Fronen got blown away already...

And the Award for Most Pompous Realm Name goes to... whatever the hell that new realm is called cause seriously I can't be arsed to look it up or even copy-paste it.

I had to look at a Beluaterra statistics read-out after that. I think I've typed it out right:

Imperskoe Viys'ko iz Fheuv'na

Should inject some much needed life into Enweil at any rate. Someone did actually tell me to run for lordship in a region of his duchy because of a putative secession in the near future but I just couldn't be bothered. Sorta wish I'd gone for it now, heh.

Would *I* seriously do it any other way? I think not.

Call it Fheuv'n if you wish, or IVF.
