This is where all future OOG discussion regarding the Council of Mech Albion. The council is basically a Messociden moot formed between Asylon and Farronite. Its called 'Mech Albion' in symbolism of our lands previous hostililty and wars that raged in that region. As a reminder of what we were and how we can work to change our future.
-
Why not even an alliance yet?
-
The council is steps to open proper long term communication. Perhaps nothing will come of it but its a start.

So it's a guild?

You can't just found a guild and call it a 'moot of the West (or Mesoccidens, or North, or South, or wherever). The 'moot is so much more.
You can aspire for it to become the 'moot of the Mesoccidens, though, but I don't really see that happening. The context in your region is way different than the context is ours was.
-
He can call it such if he wants. His name/description may not match your expectations but there is nothing saying he can't call it what he wants...

Well sure. I could go calling Verdis Elementum the Sanguis Astroism of the South. On the grounds that they are two religions that are shared by multiple realms.
But that wouldn't really be a very accurate comparison.
-
Completely agreed!!!
-
Chenier... The guild is like a middle moot, its based off the idea of the moot. Its not an exact replica. I dont know what your point in coming here was because Im sure with a little thought or patience everything would become clear.
-
ooo...
Now, to try and find a way for Terran to join another international organization....
-
You can join as an observer. :P
-
What if I give you lots of money and diplomatic high-fives?
-
ooo...
Now, to try and find a way for Terran to join another international organization....
I can arrange some for you eventually. I promise a plenty of cookies, too!
-
As an Elder of the Council of Mech Albion, I can say that this is actually a serious attempt at Asylon-Farronite relations.
-
Asylon Farronite... Astrum... Iashular... Morek... Corsanctum... Terran and D'Hara oh and Barcan relations... :o
-
Why not just join the 'moot?
-
The mooot is only for realms in the southwest. Also, only realms that have a "republican style" of government. Asylon and Farronite are too far north, and Asylon isn't "republican style".

I don't think they care so much about geography as they do the republican style.
-
Asylon did try to join the moot but they wouldnt let us because of geography. The council of Mech Albion is for realms in the north-west Messociddens, not mid or south.

I was told it was because it was because of the republican clause, which they were considering making an exception before the Terran-Kabrinskian War you escalated when they specifically said they did want, and allies should be considered equal entities, and equal entities make important decisions that involve both of them, together.
-
The Treaty of Maroccidens lists a specific geography in which a realm has to have at least one city, or it cannot be a full member of the moot.

Asylon meets the geographic requirement– the Treaty of the Marrocidens specifically notes Asylon's geographic eligibility.
What Asylon fails is the Republican form of governance criteria.

Which is Marroccidens or Messocidens, thus both Asylon and Farronite Republic fit the geographic requirements.
Edit: Maybe not Farronite Republic, I would have to do some geography looking up.
-
I'm fairly certain the Treaty notes that Cearwyn was geographically ineligible, which would make Farronite ineligible.
-
Ironically, I the one who cant keep my mouth shut is blamed for lack of communication. :P

Indeed.
As Vellos said, it's government style that ruled out Asylon. Though there was discussions of creating a new affiliated state membership in the treaty, but we never got around to it. Then we ended up realizing that we were better off on our own.
At this point, the three 'moot realm have so much history between them that adding new members would hinder the cohesion and fraternity in the institution, because of the lack of this shared background. I doubt any additions will ever be approved now, unless formed from a splitting of existing member states on friendly terms (and not just a colonization secession for foreign nobles).
-

Yes because though you can't shut up on most things, you didn't say a word on escalating the war to your allies even though they explicitly said they did not want to do that.
-
I stated several times to Cellos what I was doing he either didnt care or read what I sent. Enough of this.
Asylon doesnt want to be a part of the moot, there are already enough moot. We choose to keep our alliances small and uncomplicated to keep the game fun. We dont need to ally the whole map, this is BM not federation master, so in order to maintain diversity and cultures we choose the black sheep path. We like our kingdoms policy. Our allies have always been few its better that way and it shows you truly care about that alliance above all others, just like when I started a war to take the pressure off of my family and brothers in Terran. Asylon took the brunt of the war and its ok if you do not care. We thought we were doing the right thing for Terran at the time.
-
This thread is not about the war with a dead realm. If you all wish to talk about it, please take it elsewhere. This is about the Guild/Alliance that Asylon in the Farronite Republic will share.
-
Thank you Gustav.
-
Or maybe not share, if Glaumring keeps insisting on removing Halleria from the Republic. :)
-

Correct, FR is ineligible.
Mesoccidens is the area between the Root River and the Barrow Peaks.
-
No one has insisted you be removed. You have been listed as a criminal and we have asked you not be allowed to join the council. I'm not even sure why they keep you.
-
Maybe it's a poke at you. :D
-
I am the lion and when I bring down a beast the jackals and vultures and hyenas gather around trying to steal my kill.

We keep her because Paul demanded that we find a new GILF to replace Allison.
That or because she's a badass courtier and we only have fourteen nobles as it is.
-
Maybe she'll switch a region back to us... Or Terran... Or Astrum or wherever..
-
Mmm... Sour grapes are TEH BESTEST EVAR!
-
Maybe she'll switch a region back to us... Or Terran... Or Astrum or wherever..
We wisely gave her a region right smack in the middle of the realm. She's trapped!
-
That need not stop a Lord from switching allegiances ;)
-
I found it pleasantly amusing that I was given a region in the middle of the realm, actually. Clever Kabrinskia is clever!
-
Not kabrinskia anymore... D:
-
The 'Moot of the Messoccidens... even though... the 'Moot.. ya know... is in the Messoccidens.....
-
Does it matter? I was using the ' moot' as an example of what the council is similiar too or akin to or an example of. I didnt say its an exact replica of the moot down to little chenier and vellos dolls. Its an organization to increase relations between two realms. I didnt call it the 'moot of mech albion'... You'd think no other kingdoms on dwilight can create organizations judging some of the dumbass comments and insinuation here.
And originally Asylon couldnt join the moot because we are in Messo and they are in Marro. If its the republican thing then why is D'Hara a monarchy?
-

It says the members must have a republican style of governance, which D'hara is. If you are going to nitpick at words, read everything concerning it, not just what you feel like, please. Also, as they have stated, it was never about your geography but your government.
-
What does this have to do with the council of Mech Albion?
-
What does this have to do with the council of Mech Albion?
You asked the question.
-
Dear lord, would you all get over yourselves? And yes, I mean both sides. This thread is meant to be on the Council of Mech Albion, specifically in regards to how it increases relations between Asylon and the Farronite Republic. Not to be some pissing match about the moot.
Anyways, I have created a guildhouse in Golden Farrow, so that anyone can join it without going out of their way to Mech Alb.
-
Thank you once again Gustav.
-
I like this! Can't wait to see how it develops.
-
So far the two kingdoms are just signing up interested nobles. We are just working out the details on how it can be an exact replica of the moot.
-
Why would you want it to be an exact replica? The Veinsormoot has a distinct history and culture which heavily influenced its formation in the first place. If you want the Council to actually succeed and not be just a paper bag, try to be something other than a copy.

And yes, I have joined aswell. Lets the cooperation begin.

Thank you sir ;)

Oh hey... another drought in the North Mediterranean weather zone... yay. ::)

Oh hey... another drought in the North Mediterranean weather zone... yay. ::)
Golden Farrow can't get a break can it? How many times has it starved now?
-
None, since I became lord. Before that? Not sure.
-
Gustav has thus far found food unlike myself when I was there but then again that was during the long winter.
-
Oh hey... another drought in the North Mediterranean weather zone... yay. ::)
Damn. I guess this is the Farronites punishment by the stars for not being a theocracy.
-
Do not worry, salvation is just a signature away.(well two really, but you get the drift) ;)
-
Soooo D'Hara can haz? We liek makin' friendz

-
Well if our ambassadors ever draft a treaty that is. Have heard nothing from either of them.
-
Yeah... I'm about ready to request that Khari just increase our relations to alliance and worry about the treaty later...
-
Just got word from our ambassador, she has been very busy irl but will look into the treaty buisness right away.
-
That or I'll draft up something..just wanted to give some other players something to do.
-
Many of our nobles are on and off busy in RL so they disappear for a few days and then unpause and then pause. We are pretty chill.
-
but its true :P
LIES!
