Helpline / An unique problem
« on: September 10, 2014, 12:03:35 PM »
We are facing this problem on Fronen. Being a republic, we have monthly elections for the realm council except ruler which is quarterly.

The election day was a few days ago but no one stepped up in the banker election and as a result it failed. Since we already have a banker, another auto election didn't trigger (the one which triggers when the position is vacated) and consequently we don't have a way to appoint/elect a new banker. As with all failed elections, the peasants are complaining about it and I don't know if it will stop or continue till the next month. I believe this will result in morale loss in all regions if left unchecked.

So can anyone help me out?

Helpline / Unique class/subclass combinations
« on: August 14, 2014, 09:24:06 AM »
Currently I'm making an infiltrator character who is also very religious. So this question came to my mind, are certain class combinations possible like in this case Priest/Infiltrator? What unique class combos have you tried? And how was the experience?

Questions & Answers / Starting a TO for other purposes
« on: July 31, 2014, 09:35:00 AM »
The title is a bit misleading but here it goes. I'm sure everyone have seen enemy realms, allies and sometimes your own realm begin a TO not for the sake of completion but other purposes. Like denying the enemy fortifications, taking the advantage of being the defenders and able to dig in, denying the enemy any tax income, closing down important buildings, etc. In most of the cases the TO is abandoned soon.

My question is whether this behaviour is okay or not. Is this a strategic use of TO mechanics or just another abuse?

Helpline / Turn didn't run on BT
« on: May 31, 2014, 07:21:17 PM »
We just missed the turn on BT. Can it be manually rolled please? Thank you in advance!

We believe that from Unity we derive Strength and only in Strength lies Glory. Only the strongest are fit for survival- people who have iron will, sharp minds, nerves of steel and strong body and we all together consist Taselak. "One for all and all for us"- with that principle we shall purge the island of the weak and the impure. Victory is in Unity!

Helpline / Medal System- How does it work?
« on: May 21, 2014, 03:12:30 PM »
I wasn't worried about it until recently when I tried giving a RP medal to a fellow player. It seems that the link "give medal" doesn't appear on messages from all players.

Even more confusing are when two characters of a same player sent a letter, I get the option of giving a medal on only one. I can't give any medals to certain players but I get the option consistently on some player's letters and RPs.

Any help in this issue would be appreciated. Thanks in advance!

Roleplaying / Trials of Love
« on: April 09, 2014, 09:31:10 AM »
This will be an OOC record of the relationship between Angela Windblack and Bofeng Liew, their faithful love, the admiration they feel for each other, the strains that threaten to tear them apart and the continuous hardships they face that test the strength of their bond.

Just a small intro, Bofeng and Angela started their careers in Ohnar West within a few days of each others arrival. Angela got a crush on him as soon as she first met him in the Taikun's palace and it slowly developed into a one sided love. She tried to inform him of her true feelings subtly but he mostly ignored her advances, either purposefully or because of Bofeng's rather inexperience with women. Nevertheless they had developed a strong bond of friendship even though Angela wanted much more than that.
When OW surrendered to the Empire, they joined High Marshal Optimus's small band of followers and joined Cathay to continue fighting the Empire. Soon they had both landed lordships but the Cathay Queen suddenly decide to ban all Ohnarian refugees except the duo despite much resistance inside the realm. With only them left in foreign lands among unknown people, they would come even closer and this is what sparked the feeling of love in Bofeng.

The rest is off topic as this thread shall deal with their personal life and not political dramas. Hope that it'll be an interesting read for you all! Don't forget to post feedback! ;D

Roleplaying / The Demonic Energy
« on: April 01, 2014, 11:58:26 AM »
With the first ray of light signing the coming of dawn, the sky filled with strange noises and moans. Those brave enough decided to venture in finding the source of this noise and others decided to shut tight all doors and windows.

With the noise increasing every moments, suddenly some peasants began radiating dark crimson energy, horrifying everyone in the vicinity. In mere seconds, the spiraling energy shot out towards the sky from those peasants sending out purple lightning in the sky.

As the chaos slowly stopped, those peasants fell unconscious to the ground, completely normal (?) again as a thundering voice roared out of nowhere.

The people gathered were unable to make head or tail out of it and began vigorous discussions.

Helpline / How long does it take for the army sponsor fame to appear?
« on: November 26, 2013, 09:53:32 AM »
My character Elicia on Fronen, BT created a new army about 15 days ago. But it seems I haven't got the FP for it yet. Does it take any special trigger like its name appearing on a "Huge Battle Fought" global message or something like that?

BM General Discussion / When is the Rebalance coming?
« on: November 25, 2013, 06:34:13 PM »
The title says it all. So when would be the actual gold/food rebalance applied in the game. I believe many players are waiting for this, especially those whose regions are getting a major boost and those realms that would gain much and may start some new wars over control of the majorly boosted regions. Cheers!

Helpline / Is this normal?
« on: September 17, 2013, 07:39:53 AM »

In summary production has greatly improved, it is now booming

This is in Tindle, Beluaterra. I had some days ago reduced the tax rate to 5% in order to raise morale which was lingering somewhere near 48%.

So is it possible for production values to go above 100% without any family investments?

Other Games / Estiah
« on: August 19, 2013, 05:41:54 PM »
Estiah... I stumbled upon this game a few days back and now I'm totally in it. :D

It is an broswer based MMORPG set in a sword and sorcery world. What makes Estiah different from other games of the genre are:
  • Charms & Gears- Estiah is based upon a TCG concept. In the cursed lands of Estiah; weapon, armour and spells have vanished long ago due to divine intervention, what remains is the essence of various weapon and equipment as well as spells that have been captured inside gems called 'Charms'. Using these so called charms, the characters of Estiah are able to materialise the essence contained inside that charm for a brief amount of time and use that object or spell. Players can arrange their collected charms in specific sets called 'Gear'.

  • Attributes & Levelling up- Like any rpg, Estiah too has basic attributes like Dexterity, Power, Intelligence, Constitution and HP. Apart from these there is also another (important) attribute called Spirit which determines the max. amount of charms you can have in your gear.

The best part is that levelling up doesn't increase your attributes, rather a certain amount of attribute points needs to be gained in order to gain a level. You can gain attribute points by working, learning from academies, consuming certain food and potions as well as through the age old PvE and PvP. This provides a great opportunity to grow up your own way, you can even rise up quite high even without fighting a single NPC or PC!

  • Magic, Melee and the Rune system- Every charm in Estiah belongs to a particular rune (or multiple in many cases), which basically translates to category- for example the charm 'Yeti's Horn' belongs to both 'Spear' and 'Frost' runes.

Unlike traditional RPGs, your attributes don't determine the amount of damage you can do but the charms you can use. Every charm has a certain level requirement as well as you need to have a minimum amount of a primary and secondary attribute depending on the rune.

Also in Estiah, magic doesn't correspond to Int. and melee to Pow., all the 12 attack runes (Sword, Frost, Summon, Axe, Lightning, etc.) require two of Dex., Pow., Int. and Con. as its primary and secondary attribute. For example- 'Fire' rune uses Pow. as primary attribute and Int. as secondary whereas 'Twin Blades' use Dex. as primary and Int. as secondary.

  • Classes- Estiah has 25 classes to choose from. You start as an adventurer, your attributes determine what class you can choose and specialise throughout the game.
At lvl. 20 you are first offered to change your T1 class to either Fighter (Pow.), Scout (Dex.), Novice (Int.) and Recruit (Con.) depending on your primary stat. At lvl. 30, you again get to choose whether you want to specialise in melee or magic, and therefore choose your secondary stat bringing 2 new classes to each T1 class for a total of 8 new classes.

At lvl. 40 the real fun begins since you can now choose what rune you want to specialise in depending on your T2 class. You can now choose one from 3 classes (because you can always change your primary stat to secondary and vice versa). For example if one wants to be a 'Deathknight' (T3)(Dex., Pow, Sword) he can choose any of the two paths- the Fighter (Pow.)-> Mercenary (Pow., Melee)->DK or the Scout (Dex.)->Rogue (Dex., Melee)-> DK. That means you can't screw up as long as you have chosen a T1 class corresponding to the primary or secondary stat of the T3 you want to be.

  • Strategies and beyond..- The large number of charms available gives rise to different strategies. Some goes all out melee or all out magic or just a spirit turtle or armor tank. Experimenting with different charms and combos is the key to win.

BM General Discussion / April Fool Joke
« on: April 01, 2013, 09:18:45 PM »
Well.. I was kinda expecting another of those witty jokes this year from Tom. Guess he is quite busy or forgot 1st April. Last year's one was a bang! Ooh!

Pokemon: Johto Journeys- Dreams and Nightmares

The world shook before you, vicious tremors spread like poisonous snakes. The buildings are crumbling, wails everywhere. Flashes of energy are lighting the burning city.. But who is attacking us. What do they want?
"REVENGE SHALL BE MINE!", a voice echoed. . .
"Fight and you will have a swift death! Hide and you will find death sooner or later! Try to escape and you shall find instant death!"
, the dark figure spoke in a hiss. . . . Moments later, the city had been destroyed, bands of survivors busy cooperating and hiding.
But where did those men go? Maybe to attack YOUR city next? They are at the horizon. Will you hide, surrender or fight? You gotta hurry, the darkness is closing in on fast!
