Helpline / Re: Using Roleplay Knowledge

Well this is off topic from what I started this for but is it uncommom or bad form to name the recruitment center funded by you after your family? On a different character then the one with the roleplay thing going I just funded a recruitment center that it to be built as soon as the lord gets to his region so I was wondering about requesting to have it named after my family so people know that I funded it and make me sound more prestigious.

Well honestly what I want to act on is that some mentioned me annoying them during the roleplay and I want to find out what I did wrong so the character does not continue to dislike mine. Could I just say "I heard rumors you dislike me and I wish for no realm mate to be angered by me." or something of the like?

If someone does a roleplay to the realm, can use you knowledge from there to do make decisions or is that considered meta gaming? I was in the region it was taking place but they were inside when they spoke in the roleplay. I was going to do something based on the conversation but don't want to be accused of meta gaming and its not something huge that I want to do, merely inquire something in a letter, so its not like I am declaring war or anything. If you would like more details about the situation just ask.

That should be changed in my opinion for exactly this reason, D'hara doesn't want the priests preaching in their lands but without declaring war over you can't arrest. I would think even it wouldn't matter what the diplomacy is, if there is a noble breaking the laws there should be consequences.

I like the idea of making  them better over time so that a year old unique item is considerably better then a brand new unique item.

What about this then: create a new, single government position with no game mechanic behind it. Having this position gives you only two things: access to the realm council as a Ruler's trusted advisor, and a cool signature.

In some realm this will be "Marshal of the Royal Bodyguards", others it will be "Prime Knight", an other one will be "Honored Representative of Keplerstan". It doesn't matter, since the position does not give access to any buttons anyway.
I think it is a great idea as most rulers did have an advisor. It wouldn't be purely honor if you actually advised the ruler and the position should be chosen by the ruler in all government types. Instead of nothing happening you could let them view all the information of the realm council positions but have no control or can have some control but it must be granted by the regular position holder. That way your advisor is informed but not controlling everything.

Terrorizing the region sure, but from a roleplay standpoint I doubt anyone would let a commoner in there kingdom who disrepected the dead or a powerful noble. Dead was a very honored thing that would never be disrepected in such a way and what lord wants in his city a commoner who disrepected his own home kingdom/realm (If he disrepected a nole in his homeland what makes you think he wouldn't disrepect you.)

The issue with anyonomous is that you don't know who sent it, so who would you send it to. Though you could like a number system or something like that for naming. ie instead of it being your character name its 0001 for the secret society idea.

You say plenty of ways but I only know of 2 gathering items and selling them indivdually or as a unique item if you are lucky and slaying monsters or undead. I do not consider 2 ways to be many. Feel free to correct me if there are more ways.

I know that is possible but do you only do gathering and never hunt? Even then you could sell items you get. I wonder because I don't see adventurers can be broke, kill some monsters or undead and you have money.

True but they are fed by the region for free, only have to go one region away, it only takes them an hour for there missions, and travel taxes are not done to them. I pay for taxes to go to some regions/or realms (not sure) which was done during my scouting, I pay 2 silver a day for food, travel quite the distance taking all of my time for 2 days in my task because of there being several regions to visit within the other realm. So I think more than 10 silver is due.

You have a valid point but in this case it was more like a help wanted ad. He sent a message to all the advys and asked for someone willing to complete a dangerous task with pay for him so again if no pay then there is no incentive though I will check out the guild thing, thanks for the help. Though would the banking but with a limit to avoid what you said ever be a thought to add in?

Perhaps there could be a limit of the gold sent to an adventurer. I did several scoutings of regions around different areas of the realm for my general which was done thinking I was to be paid since he was unaware that I couldn't receive gold from him, which gives me no incentive to do if I plan on staying an adventurer since I don't get gold and my advy I plan on keeping an advy so it seems to me there is no reason to please nobles, obviously not to anger so they don't arrest you but there is no actual reason to please from what I see.

Has it ever been thought of being added? If it has and was rejected then why?
