A quick word over his shoulder and the second guard had shoved the drunkard aside so that Herox never had to let one of the suspects out of his eyes.

Herox had judged him right, picking him solely because his example would make the others more afraid and less likely to act hostile. He would let him go once they reached the ship.
Back on the Flaming Dolphin, Inquisitor Lucious was almost done with his preparations. A full squad of Templars stood at his command, only slightly tired from the recent events, and ready for action. The time to march was soon. By his estimates, an hour from now, word of the inquisition being in town would have spread around to the heretics and they would act just as he had learnt to predict.
