Tournament and Gov members

Whats the reasoning behind not allowing goverement members, as in realm council, to go to tournaments?

By that logic, Dukes and Lords should be barred from them as well.

Honestly though, I wish non-warriors could attend tournaments as spectators.  Even better would be allowing high ranking priests to still be invited to convert/preach to nobles.  A fun way to spread a faith!  And get drunk!

Yes, joining as a spectator should be a possibility, even for warriors if they so desire. They are major social events that bring together nobles that would not otherwise meet.
