Ancient Documents, adventurer game
« Topic Start: July 12, 2011, 03:39:18 PM »
Ancient documents are usable items that can be found in some regions by adventurers.
Can anything be said about what role they will fulfill once there done?
Formerly playing the Nosferatus and Bhrantan Family.
Currently playing the Polytus Family in: Gotland, Madina, Astrum, Outer Tilog

No.

First you must train your Literacy skill to at least 95%. Since this isn't an academy option and can only be raised on rare occasions via reading Ancient Documents, thus consuming them but achieving nothing except for a rare increase in Literacy skill, it is supremely hard. But once you get to 95%, using more Ancient Documents has an additional rare effect.

Am I lying about this? Who knows. You probably don't, lol. ^_^

Am I incorrect in remembering that one needed 8 portal stones and an ancient document to seal portals?

I don't remember anything abut an ancient document. But my advy died in the middle of the invasion, so I could be wrong.

Long time ago... Hard to say. And this would  be back during the time of Arcane and all, not this last invasion. I just have that nagging impression...

So my advy has 3 ancient documents. Should I just read (use) them?

They are not implemented, I believe,  so there isn't really a reason to.

It would seem so, just tested one and got: Still TODO, please hang on to these and wait until we implement the code...

ah... thanks. I was wondering about them. Same with Rope and lanterns... I have not tried using them either, thus have no idea what they do if at all.
