Are adventurers able to sell their Combat gear and Adventuring gear?

They can sell the other items that they find but can they sell them gear they use with the sword and advie skills?

If so, is there a region type that has greater chance of allowing their sale?

I would say offhand - no.

There should also be no need to. The gear is how your advy makes money ;) Try and buy more :D

My advie is selling off all his stuff before becoming a noble. If he can sell the gear then he can get lots more gold.

He doesn't need to buy any more because of this.

Yes, you can sell your advy gear. When you go to Items > Selling, they are listed as "Adventurer Gear" and "Combat Gear". I have seen occasions where there has been a buyer for them. But I've never actually wanted to sell any.
