Beluaterra / Re: Post News Here for our Facebook Page

Jaune plays the King of Ar Agyr and is sharing his own letter to be posted on FB. Does it still need to be avoided in such a situation?

BM General Discussion / Re: Closing Islands ?
« on: July 30, 2013, 02:47:10 PM »
I can see why closing BT would be less desirable as they just survived an Invasion that could have seen the Continent closed down already. To the other two options offered, closing down Colonies would only offer a potential 108 characters to the other islands, while Dwilight would offer a potential 449 characters to the other islands (Beluaterra offering 251). From those numbers, it seems closing down Dwilight would, assuming the rate of moving is equal for all islands, offer the biggest impact on density on the other Continents (About a potential of 90 per island or 0.72 per remaining regions).

This is not considering retention rates and all that which has already been mentioned, it's just looking at pure character numbers.

It appears your region is also still under the effects of an Investment, which should inflate the results as well, though I don't remember exactly when that happened.

Helpline / Re: Who you're supposed to be able to appoint to dukeship
« on: July 28, 2013, 12:31:52 PM »
I think, not sure, that the region in question will/is supposed to join the Duchy when the Lord of another Duchy is appointed Duke. However there seems to be a small bug at least with Elections in that the region won't change allegiances even if a Duke of another Duchy is elected to that (So you end up with a Duke having a region in another Duchy, which doesn't seem intended)

Knights cannot be appointed Duke as that will constitute a break in Hierarchy (He'll be the Duke of the Lord he owes allegiance to as Knight). If he vacates his Estate, he'll be able to be appointed Duke since there won't be a mess-up in the Hierarchy any more.

Depends on the type of court. Harsh courts will work, but the people don't want your justice or mercy.

I'll concede to that. Harsh Courts can have a random effect on loyalty so you can hope for an increase to help out.

Well, you can always put food in the region before letting it go rogue to fix that part. That's basically what we did with Grehk. The point of letting it go rogue is that you don't need to tie down any forces to the region to repair it, which can take a while sometimes.

As for Courts at 1% loyalty, I've never seen it, but I usually don't try to do that at such low values. I wouldn't know, but I've had my courts disrupted at low loyalty (15%-20%) which just undid any progress in it so far.

22
Personal experience from a long past that may very well be wrong:

Just courts at about 20%-25% (20% can still be pretty risky at times) is the thumb rule and allows you to get Loyalty up to a point where you can keep holding Courts and the peasants don't hate your guts anymore. Moral gets up as loyalty gets up so it's not a main concern. I believe peasants expressing themselves just raises moral a bit, while loyalty is the important one. You want control up just to a point to ensure they don't revolt while you repair the region but that's about it for control.

That said, better way to repair a region is let it go rogue. Send in an Ambassador after it and raise sympathy without having the stat drop every day because they hate your rule. Then take over the region as soon as sympathy is decent so you can just hold courts and be happy.

BM General Discussion / Re: Possible Rebellion bug?

I believe if the Rebellion fails, the Judge if a Rebel will automatically lose his seat. But don't quote me on that as it might very well be misinformation.

Development / Locked Public Info
« on: July 25, 2013, 01:43:42 AM »
With the old character limits, you could get an extra character if you made your info public. It also locked you to keeping your information public for as long as you played more then 2 characters. However with the new character limits, anyone can play more then two characters and have their public info hidden. This option no longer has any effect on character limits at all far as I know. Nonetheless, if you do make your info public, you're locked out from changing it back. This to me appears to be a leftover from the old character limits.

Should our info being public still remain locked considering we can keep it hidden as long as we don't say 'yes' to it? And if one would wish to make his info hidden again, would pausing all but two characters work to unlock the option?

Beluaterra / Re: Enweil & Ally vs Riombara
« on: July 23, 2013, 12:06:50 PM »
Actually, it looked really bad for Riombara in the beginning. However Riombara saw a great military revival that certainly changed the odds. Riombara has also managed to exploit some opportunities presented to them by their enemies, but things could have looked way different. While I think the odds certainly favour Riombara right now, it's far from certain. Thanks to Enweil's Allies Riombara certainly did not start a war impossible to lose.

A very defensive chokepoint would still be problematic, like ensuring the only way you can get in or out of the Realm is through a City or a Townsland. Something like allowing travel through the Blight, but having those regions absolutely useless would counter that.

BM General Discussion / Re: Why so few Infiltrators?

Most Infiltrator options already have a low, medium, high risk choice IIRC.

East Island / Re: Perdan vs Caligus and Company

Yeah, wasn't there something with Evangeline's bounty on the East Continent a while back with the Infiltrator losing the bounty somehow due to switching Realms? I vaguely remember something like that.

I just checked, the few Lords that abdicated in Riombara due to more then a week of inactivity aren't paused yet either. That report was 17 days ago and they shouldn't have logged in, as their accounts are locked.

Should I file a bug report or is this being looked at already?
