My character on Dwilight has 100 Spellcasting, I believe.

from what I thought I I have read on here that makes perfect sense for your character with the teleportation and other things.

Yes, that was my character. ^_^ I'm actually quite proud of the RP leading up to that, happy chance being that I had the Compendium of Time before Haktoo came to Kabrinskia.

You believe that?
Born in Day they knew the Light; Rulers, prophets, servants, and warriors.
Life in Night that they walk; Gods, heretics, thieves, and murderers.
The Stefanovics live.

After all it's a roleplaying game.

rofl Ban. Should read the title. They are all talking about Fame here ;)

Gustav Kuriga

Yes, I was speaking of Fame. I would be dumbstruck if it were actually 100 skill.

It almost certainly isn't. But a 100 value means you are the best (or one of the best) in that category. You can be the best with a skill value of 90, or 50, or even 20 if everyone else just sucks. It tells you nothing about the actual value, only how you rank compare to others.

For example, there's wealth fame. If someone on the island has 5000 gold, they will get a score of 100. If you have a score of 50 it does not mean you have 2500 gold. Or if you you have 500 gold, it doesn't mean the richest guy has 1000 gold. That is what I mean by "not linear".
But it also doesn't mean you have the average amount of gold (i.e. 50% are richer and 50% are poorer than you). It does relate to the highest guy, but not in a linear manner. On a really rich island, you could have a value of 50 and yet 90% of the other characters are richer.

The point is that it tells you where you are on a scale, without allowing you to gain too much information about other characters. But it allows you to compare yourself, especially with the aggregate values. People seem to be missing those, but they are the actual point of the whole thing.

I like this feature, I find it funny to know that my character on Beluatera is the best looter on Beluatera

A well earned distinction, I would say.

Sacha

All I have is being better at swordfighting than 80% of the rest of Dwilight :( I wanna be a top looter too!

I don't think so... The TOP Reaver is ME and I don't plan to give up my position in the next years!  8)

Is fame calculated continent-wide or game-wide?
Dit donc camarade soleil / Ne trouves-tu ça pas plutôt con / De donner une journée pareil / À un patron

I feel like it's game wide honestly.    Vallyn has 72 percentile for Honour (at 462 or something as a stat) where he's clearly one of the top 10 on Dwilight.    However if its a standard distribution curve that would put him *just* into the second distribution group - hardly an accurate measure for Dwilight (but, definately accurate for the world overall).

Edit:  Yes, Tom has said it's not a Std. Dev. Curve.  But there are lots of fun functions to use in Stats . . . just using that as an example.

It is island specific. My Dwilight character, Brance, has the highest prestige on the island, and 100 on the fame chart for it. Bu there are two people in EC who have a higher prestige than he does.
If at first you don't succeed, don't take up skydiving.

I believe Tom said 100 doesn't guarantee you are number 1 just really close to being the best so if ou are basing it off that alone I wouldn't say it's for sure then.
